The exhibition traces, for example, an itinerary of the Casbah and the European quarters through vintage postcards, and juxtaposes the long tradition of staged Orientalist representations of "indigenous" people with photojournalistic coverage from the Algerian War.

ratatat is so good!
Saw them last @ The Parish in Austin late 2004. Can't wait to see them again.
rawrrr!
What are their shows like?
energetic, it's amazing that so much sound can come out of two guys. (i'm not talking about loudness, so much as a driving musical cohesiveness.) i saw them in 2004 and they impressed me so much i bought a cd -- though i don't usu. like lyric-less music.
to what extent is that sound pre-recorded? i mean, i'm going anyway, but i'm just curious
Alot of live guitar work. From what I remember of a previous show, almost all the percussion was pre-recorded. However, I cannot emphasize enough how energetic the show was reguardless of that. They opened for Mouse on mars so they didn't have a full set, I can't wait to see this one.
anyone have an extra ticket? looking for one for my bro...
got a ticket. thanks!
it was a pretty good show, envelopes were good too

Er, I am a bad Upcomer and put in the incorrect date for the Ratatat show. I've changed it; the show is on the 18th!
