We Know They Can Write, But Can They Sing? October 18, 2009

As the California Writers Club celebrates its 100th Year Anniversary, join the Marin Branch of CWC as they host a myriad of your favorite authors in an all afternoon celebration of music, readings, books, pitches, and brunch.

Kathi Kamen Goldmark (author of And My Shoes Keep Walking Back to You, and founder of The Rock Bottom Remainders) and Sam Barry, (member of Rock Bottom Remainders, and author of How To Play the Harmonica: And Other Life Lessons), along with a host of your other favorite authors (listed below in alphabetical order) will read from each other’s works and join the band, Los Train Wreck, to sing a song or two.

That’s right ─ you’ll get to hear some of your favorite California authors sing and/or read from another of your favorite author’s works, while accompanied by the band. The admission price to this fun and unique event includes 15 dollar gift certificate for Book Passage, and a delicious buffet lunch, with wine. Author signings will take place at the break, and for those who want the opportunity to pitch their own story ideas for publication, literary agents will also be on hand. 45 dollar admission charge includes a delicious buffet luncheon with wine, the author concert, three-minute pitches to literary agents, and a $15 gift certificate for Book Passage
