Fall is a time of change as plants and animals are preparing for the cold weather ahead. Are the pigs snuggling in their straw? Why are chipmunks so busy? What is happening to the leaves? How thick is the sheep's wool? All of these questions and more will be answered as we explore the farm and natural areas of Drumlin Farm and meet some of the creatures that live in the forest, meadows, ponds, and even in your own backyard! Join us each week as we slow down to take notice of the wide world around us. This class will give you some ideas and tools to continue developing your child's sense of wonder in your own neighborhood. - - All ages welcome, but at least one child must be at least 2 years old. Up to three children per adult. Fees apply to all participants, both adults and children. "Backpack babies" (under 12 months old and carried in a backpack or sling) are welcome free of charge, but please mention these participants when registering. The fee for children between the ages of 12 and 17 months is half the regular participant fee. - - Things You Should Know: - - Drumlin Farm Wildlife Sanctuary is a dynamic environment.
