1818 Monterey St.
Hermosa Beach, California

The Welsh Choir of Southern California--a multi-ethnic-choir-- is pleased to present an afternoon of Welsh music, featuring our special guest, Welsh-born soprano, Julia Bentham. Ms. Bentham is a noted recitalist in London, where she currently resides, encompassing music of the Baroque, Classical, and Romantic periods. She has also been the soloist for many oratorios, such as the Faure Requiem. It has been her great privilege to work with composer Andrew Wright, including premiering his song cycle "Bliss of Solitude" with text from William Wordsworth’s poetry, at the famous ‘Wordsworth church’ of St. Oswald’s in the Lake District.

The concert will include Welsh pieces familiar to the choir's
audience, as well as newer arrangements. Ms. Bentham will be featured singing with the choir and on solo pieces. All of this will combine for an afternoon of musical enjoyment.
