Come learn all about the natural history of the honey bee, the only insect that makes a food that people eat. Everyone knows about the sweetness of honey and the versatility of beeswax. We use bee products to waterproof our tents, finish furniture, soften our lips and create beautiful crafts. An indoor overview of bee natural history will be followed by a visit to the center's outdoor hive. Participants will then return to the Visitor Center to make a beeswax craft. Space is limited. Please call 518-475-0291 to register by Wednesday, May 25. Materials fee: FFR members $1.00; non members $3.00
