Wikipedia Academy is an initiative to encourage Wikipedia readers to contribute back to the online encyclopedia by editing and writing. Less than 0.1% of wikipedia users edit or add information and this is an initiative to encourage more users to actively contribute. As part of the initiative, we start off with a two hour, hands-on workshop taught by people experienced in Wikis.

An opportunity to learn about ..

* Basic and advanced wiki editing tips.
* Do's and Don't of wiki editing etiquette
* How does the volunteering hiearchy function
* How do the volunteers deal with vandalism and edit conflicts
* Keeping Wikipedia free of spam

There are enough computers for you to practically edit wikipedia and learn by doing. (If you have laptops, bring them along.)
