Every September the Connecticut woods come alive with wild mushrooms and other colorful fungi. To celebrate the season, the flavors, and mystique of wild mushrooms, DPNC is planning the biggest and best Wild Mushroom Festival yet. Feast your senses on fresh, delicious mushroom dishes prepared by chefs from the area's finest restaurants. Enjoy live music and sip locally produced black currant juice, beer or wine as you stroll underneath a beautiful autumn canopy of leaves. When you finally get full from all the goodies, shop the Mushroom Marketplace, join Connecticut Valley Mycological Society experts for a mushroom identification walk, or learn about mushroom anatomy under a microscope.
