Winter is a wonderful time to study woody plants; none of those confusing leaves in the way. If you enjoy winter hikes and have wondered what you were looking at along the way, then join us for an afternoon of beautiful winter botany. Through observation and a few simple keys and guides you'll be able to appreciate and identify the bark, buds, shape and habitat characteristics of many of our local trees and woody plants. - - Open to anyone age 16 or older.
