Written in the 1970’s, at a time when the women’s movement asserted itself for equal rights, the monologues draw upon problems women have at home, at work and within society at large.

In turns comic and deeply moving, these four monologues represent the pinnacle of Fo and Rame's theatrical collaboration.

The monologues: “Rise and Shine” (Erica Johnson), “Bless Me Father for I Have Sinned” (Maru Garcia), “Medea” (Geri Crawley), and “A Woman Alone” (Stanna Bippus).

Dario Fo is the 1997 Nobel Laureate in Literature whose most famous works include the plays “Accidental Death of an Anarchist” and “Can't Pay? Won't Pay!” He is also director, stage and costume designer, and on occasion he even composes the music for his plays.
France Rame, his leading actress, has assisted in and contributed to the writing of many of the plays they have produced in their 45 years of theatre together. She has also assumed administrative and organizational responsibility for the Fo-Rame Company.

Agreed. Start time is now 7pm. Now let's figure out where to have it. Anybody got food preferences? Indian? Veggie?

I suggest we go to thirsty bear– lotsa space, good food, good beer (and I haven't been there in awhile :) (and nova's too small).

tantek

That's a good suggestion. Wiki updated.
