Join us for an exploration of wool! Sheep were the earliest domesticated farm animal and wool is one of the most ancient and important fibers in the world. We will move through all the stages of preparing fleece - cleaning, carding, and dyeing, and then learn ways to use the fleece we've prepared - spinning, felting, and simple weaving. We will meet the ewes and lambs that produce our wool and try to spend time with them each session. - - Tuesday, Mar 22: Cleaning and Carding - Tuesday, Mar 29: Dyeing and spinning - Tuesday, April 5: More spinning, start felting and weaving - Tuesday, April 12: Spinning, felting, weaving continued - - Discount fee for all 4 sessions: $50 member; $70 non-member. - - Open to adults, teens age 16 or older, and kids age 12 or older with an adult.
