Workshop: Prescribed Fire as A Resource Tool November 7, 2010

This two-day course consists of one day of lecture and one day of actual burning (weather permitting). The course will cover the ecology and affects of fire, how weather and topography affect fire behavior, fire behavior principles, the elements of fire management planning, and ignition. Participants will operate basic fire management tools, view the layout and preparation of a fire unit, and conduct several real burns.
