Yavar Rzayev and Leyla Rzayeva - Karabakh on My Mind February 18, 2011

Yavar Rzayev is a multi-faceted architect, artist and performer. His artistic works include monochrome drawings; mixed-media contemporary paintings; watercolors; illustrations; oil on canvas or wood panels; and live model portraits. His art pieces are located in private collections in Azerbaijan; Germany; Czechoslovakia; Mexico; Palm Springs, California; Fort Lauderdale, Florida; Washington, D.C.; Rehoboth Beach, Delaware; and New York City. Leyla Rzayeva, a Baltimore based painter and printmaker, received her BFA in painting and printmaking from Maryland Institute College of Art. In addition to her training as a painter, Leyla has pursued her interest in fine art printmaking to become a Tamarind Professional Printer at Tamarind Institute in Albuquerque, New Mexico, a pioneer workshop dedicated to reviving the art of lithography and printmaking in U.S.
