You can help send local Anthem girl to Diabetes Camp this summer! May 22, 2009

On Friday May 22, 2009 from 5:00pm – 9:00pm Piñata Nueva’s Mexican Food Restaurant at the Anthem's location only at 3655 W Anthem Way St D105 Anthem, AZ 85086 (623) 551-8580 will donate a portion of the proceeds from that evening to help send Page to Diabetes Summer Camp.

Juvenile Diabetes (Type 1) changed Page's life forever when she was diagnosed in 2005. Since her diagnosis Page has pricked her fingers to check her blood sugar levels well over 8,000 times and has taken over 9,000 insulin shots. Page is now on an insulin pump.

Camp AZDA is a special week for kids with Diabetes. For that one week they are just like everyone else because everyone at camp also has diabetes. Often children with diabetes feel like nobody understands how they feel or know what its like to live every day with diabetes. At Camp, they meet other kids from all over Arizona and adult counselors that all live with diabetes. For more information on Camp AZDA:
