Young Naturalist: Skulls and Skeletons February 6, 2010

What can we discover about an animal by studying its skull? What clues can we get from eye sockets, teeth, or leg bones? Participants will examing skills of local mammals. We will also explore the shape of bird beaks and how each is suited to the bird's food source. And we will dissect owl pellets to identify the bones within. Participants must dress for the weather, we will be outside searching for owl pellets! Register early to reserve your space!
