The 17th Annual King of the Hill Tennis Tournament, benefitting Youth
Guidance, will be held Thursdays, 6:00pm, January 19, 26 and February 2,
9, 16 and 23 at The Boulevard Village and Tennis Club, Vero Beach.
General admission tickets are $5 per person with discounted prices for
admittance to all six matches. This exciting competition involves
professionals (U.S.P.T.A.) from Indian River and surrounding counties.
Originating in January 1996, the King of the Hill Tennis Tournament of
Vero Beach provides area tennis fans the opportunity to enjoy high level
doubles competition and tennis professionals the chance to participate in
and enjoy the spirit of competition. Over 1,600 spectators come and watch
the tennis pros compete for the title of “King of the Hill”. Funds raised
will directly benefit the children in the Youth Guidance Mentoring &
Activities Program, a local United Way Partner Agency. Preceding the
tennis tournament is the King of the Hill Kick-off Cocktail Party on
Thursday, January 12, 5:30-7:30pm, at The Boulevard Village and Tennis
Club. The mixer will be held to thank the sponsors and players for their
commitment and dedication for this annual tournament and recognize and
recruit mentors who drive the Youth Guidance program. For more
information contact the Youth Guidance office at 772-770-5040 or visit
