Zoo Camp: Zoo Careers July 25, 2011

July 25-29. Ever wondered what it is like to work at a zoo? There is more to it than being a zookeeper. In this camp we will look at various zoo careers: try being a zookeeper, learn what it takes to be a zoo vet, educate yourself on zoo animals, design a zoo exhibit, and more! Meet the experts and explore the responsibilities, training, education requirements, and available opportunities at zoos throughout North America. Discover the passion, dedication, and hard work that keep the animals and the employees happy and healthy. (Bring a sack lunch & water bottle to full day camps.) Campers receive a T-shirt. Each day is full of topic and age-specific lessons, crafts, animal interactions and activities in the zoo. All lessons are taught by trained adult instructors. Registration must be received at least 3 days before class starts.
